A Digital Project For Alassio

 Alassio has embarked on a major process of rebranding and digital innovation. Kumbe has supported this destination through every step of its strategic and development phases.

Listening, to get off on the right foot

Together with the team from Alassio, led by the Destination Manager Luca Caputo, we plotted the roadmap, with the steps and activities involved to deliver a comprehensive and high-performance digital project.
We supported Alassio in their process of creating a new identity. The first step was to create a brand identity based on the destination. We then created the entire digital project, the result of which wasa visitalassio.com.

If you are curious, take a look at the web portal we have created for Alassio, with a browsing experience designed for both traditional users and for more outgoing visitors, thanks to customisable clusters which gives a real flavour of the destination.

A concept which establishes an identity for the destination 

Before beginning the work to create the brand identity, we felt it was critical to define and set in stone the concept which establishes an identity for Alassio. Like a compass which always shows us where to go.

All-round well-being

 At the centre of the project is the well-being of visitors.

Alassio has a bold personality which it is not afraid to show. At the same time, it has a strong sense of hospitality and welcoming visitors, a thread which runs through the destination concept.

Alassio is seeking to present itself in a way which makes visitors instantly feel at home and, above all, relaxed with the freedom to enjoy their holiday the way they want to.
Tone

Coordinated Tone of Voice

Having defined the concept for the destination, we created a tone of voice which is perfectly aligned. This led to the decision to write in the first person singular, turning Alassio into a person, your host who welcomes you and tells you what you can see and discover in Alassio.

Warm and Welcoming Copywriting

Having identified the TOV, we had fun with creating enjoyable text to read to both embody the destination whilst also being optimised for SEO.

A new logo for an identity with roots

We created a brand new logo which can express this identity and the hospitality which Alassio has to offer. The letters ‘IO’ of Alassio are highlighted, the Italian word for ‘I’, emphasising the destination’s aim of making the guest feel like they are the stars of their own holidays

This message is underlined in the pay-offs: Alassio, my place to be is a warm and direct way of explaining how everyone can feel at ease there.


Social but Human

Alassio also has a dash of the spirit of Kumbe. Our new pay-off “Human to Digital” inspired us to create a section which is entirely dedicated to social media and to fast and young communication. All while putting people and the value they bring at the centre.

On the ‘People of Alassio’ page, you can meet the Local Experts and the Social Media Ambassadors from the destination who welcome the guests and present Alassio to them. The project has been overseen by Social Media Manager Simona Barbera, who we worked with to identify the best online presentation format.

Plan your holiday the easy way!

A destination web portal which is comprehensive and helpful for users needs to include a dedicated holiday planning section.

Plan and Purchase

Hotel and accommodation bookings, as well as purchases of experiences and activities, are possible thanks to the integration of a DMS (Destination Management System) which enables these conversion actions. The integrated DMS for visitalassio.com is Feratel, a long-standing partner of Kumbe.

Customised Design

 In creating the brand identity, we also produced a detailed brand book. This was our guide for creating the graphic design of the destination web portal.

 Colour and Energy

 The colour gradient, the distinguishing feature of the new brand, has been interpreted and applied across the web portal, making navigation more engaging and eye-catching. In particular, it was used as the main feature of the locals section.

Blue and turquoise, colours which reflect the sea, are the distinctive feature of the main sections. All of this is combined with a design that is minimalist but with a bold character, one which immediately grabs the user’s attention.

Alassio is a destination which loves to celebrate its guests and offer unforgettable moments.
Events big and small are included in a dedicated section which has the aim of engaging visitors and helping them to plan their holidays without missing out on must-see events in the destination.

Do you like the outdoors or do you simply enjoy exploring the area where you are holidaying? On the Alassio web portal, all of the walking and cycling routes are described and can also be viewed on Strava. We simply inserted the widget et voilà! Are you ready to start exploring?
