Not just a simple ski resort! Badonecchia, or should we say “Bardo”? A one-of-a-kind Alpine destination which combines a range of tourist offers that satisfy the holiday desires and motivations of many different target markets.

Requirements and technical solutions

Bardonecchia Ski from Colomion SpA marks itself out from other resorts through the special focus it gives to all of the services on offer, not just the ski lifts and buying lift passes, which are of course the cornerstone of the business, but food & drink and accommodation are also areas which are given particular attention.

The brief from Bardonecchia Ski, known as “Bardo” following a recent brand study conducted for the destination, was to create a web portal which could make the resort stand out from the nearby competition by highlighting certain features, such as the varied offering, the ease of purchasing and booking a holiday, as well as the fresh and energetic identity that is its hallmark.

Analysis of the Customer Journey

In-depth analysis led to the creation of a clear and intuitive website structure that allows the user to be influenced and supported at every stage of their customer journey, whether they are just doing research, looking for inspiration, or making a booking.

Technology and Usability

The analysis for the Bardo web portal was based on the intended objective of creating a promotional and marketing platform. For accommodation availability searches, as well as bookings, we integrated Snowit.

In addition, we created a customised display for the section with the ski lift opening times for users and to make it easer for the operator to manage all year round.

Design and Graphics

All of this enhanced and enriched with a graphic design created especially for Bardo. The goal was to successfully convey, including in visual terms, the identity of the destination with its sparkling, youthful, daring and energetic character!
The giant font size, the vivid fuchsia colour and the intuitive modern icons convey the style of Bardo and what guests can expect: simple, direct, warm and youthful.

Social Media & Instagram Wall

Shaping Bardo’s Identity We also wanted to highlight the resort’s more social side, both by expressing the idea of being “care-free” and engaging with the community via the Instagram Wall integration and building a sense of belonging, as expressed with the concept of “We are a crew”.
