Kumbe has arrived in Bormio, the mountain tourist destination where wellness is not just a tourist offer but a way of life.

It is no coincidence that their pay-off is “The Wellness Mountain”, summing up the essence of their identity. Did you know that Bormio is the destination with the highest number of spa centres in Italy? The best known are the QC Terme Bagni Vecchi and Bagni Nuovi, along with the Terme di Bormio spas.

But there is more! Bormio is one of the destinations of choice for winter sports. Even non-skiers enjoy spending time there in the snow, savouring the cultural experiences, the scenery, and the Italian dolce vita. And in summer? The mountains take centre stage, along with the famous Stelvio and Gavia mountain passes.

Analysis, Above All

A detailed analysis allowed us to design a destination web portal that successfully showcases everything that Bormio has to offer, highlighting its unique and distinctive aspects. A project that is the result of teamwork, and constant updates and discussions with Mauro Bassi, chair of Bormio Marketing, and his team.

Custom Content

The user lands on the destination portal homepage for Bormio and has the option of an overview of the tourist offering, highlighting the unique aspects of Bormio and real-time content. By selecting certain clusters and/or filters, users can reorganise the site with custom content.

Set the Dates of Your Holiday

Users landing on bormio.eu immediately have the option to customise the content based on the dates of their holiday. A prime example of filters can be seen in the header where users can set the dates of their holiday. This then automatically reorganises the content to display a customised tourist offer.

Technological Integrations for a portal that drives conversions

To make it easier for users to book activities during their holiday, we have integrated both Feratel and Valtellina Outdoor web services. Feratel allows users to book accommodation for their holiday, purchase event tickets and reserve experiences.

Valtellina Outdoor

 Valtellina Outdoor provides information and routes for excursions available across the whole destination. Thanks to the use of an in-page widget, we can avoid having to insert external links which would cause users to leave our website. Instead, our solution means that a user can get inspiration, find out information and organise and book the component parts of their holiday via a single portal.

Crowdriff, visual beauty

Crowdiff is an aggregator of multimedia content, a very interesting visual storytelling software that allows users to view photos and videos created by the users. By integrating this software, Bormio Marketing can inspire users with content integrated into the bormio.eu digital platform.

Copy & Tone of Voice

A portal with so much content and, above all, a strong regional identity that deserves a style of language that embodies everything it has to offer.
For Bormio Marketing we also created a special tone of voice. The aim was to immediately help users feel relaxed, conveying the warm welcome that is so typical of alpine hospitality.
A direct and authentic tone of voice, just like the people who live in these mountains but, at the same time, gentle and welcoming.
