12 Tourism Associations: One Web Portal

The Dolomiti Bellunesi DMO Foundation has the main objective of representing all 12 member associations for tourism.

These are places with a diverse and multi-faceted tourism offering, which range from high-altitude experiences to cultural city tours.
What do they all have in common? A desire to offer authentic and out-of-the-ordinary experiences.

Creating an Innovative Digital Presence

At Kumbe, when there is work to be done for a destination web portal, we are ready and willing to share our experience and passion.
We had a hand in the creation of the first destination web portal for the Dolomiti Bellunesi DMO, a major project which introduced an advanced level of digitalisation to the destination with the aim of presenting the best of each location.

Better Together

It was a real team effort, because the Dolomiti Bellunesi DMO wanted to deliver a comprehensive project which took the form of a new web portal, enhanced by a new brand identity and a fresh social media communication strategy that creates an identity. The working group was larger this time: Kumbe brought its usual energy and ideas, sharing a strategy, approach and objectives with Roberto Locatelli, an advisor from the Province of Belluno, Roberta Milano, content manager for the Foundation, and DMIND, an agency specialising in social media communications.

Book Accommodation Quickly and Easily

In the creation of the web portal, the analysis process resulted in an integrated wireframe and a particular focus on ease of navigation for users. For example, in the dedicated accommodation section, we wanted to create filters along the lines of those offered on booking.com, to make it easier for users to select accommodation without complicating the booking process and, unbeknown to the user, delivering intuitive and automatic navigation.

The hard-working team led by Roberta Milano produced rich, engaging and very detailed copy to tell the story of the destination in the best possible way.

UX Design How important is the graphic design of a web portal?

We are really proud of what we have created, the custom design for DMO Dolomiti Bellunesi is fresh and welcoming.

The colour gradient specified in the brand has also been used for the web portal. As well as the appearance, the UX Design study was important, generating useful and innovative solutions for web users. For example, on mobile devices, the icons have been moved to the bottom part of the screen to make them more easily accessible.

 A good destination web portal needs state-of-the-art technology integrations which allows users to book experiences, accommodation, and tickets to events. All of this is available in the new portal, where planning every step of a holiday is so easy!
