In addition to a functional web portal, we wanted to create a place to meet (virtually). A place where users and destinations first meet each other. Thanks to the authentic language which in Italian includes expressions in the local dialect we are able to engage and strike a chord with users, immediately making them feel part of the community. The team from the Val di Non tourist board has also actively involved local people. An effective strategy that helps to further reduce the online distance.
We integrated Feratel and Outdooractive via web service to allow users to book and plan their holidays. With an in-page widget, we avoid the need to use external links, improving navigation.
