Kumbe’s journey through the Villas, Castles and Stately Homes of Italy’s Veneto

When a product becomes a destination Have you ever had that feeling when, almost by chance, you decide to visit an historic stately home and it just blows you away, leaving you standing there open-mouthed? And your mind starts imagining what it would be like to get married in a venue like this and how they were able to create places of just jaw-dropping beauty all those years ago.

Anteprima VV Team

It all began by talking to Giulio Vallortigara Valmarana and Ulisse Baldisseri, who are not just the owners of two of these wonderful villas, but also and most importantly they are the spokespersons for this project.

An incredible team, bringing together the owners and operators of these priceless pieces of Italy’s artistic and cultural heritage. Together with them and consultants Nicola Grassetto, Pamela Bettiol, Erike Spironello, and Elena Stella, we studied the project to find the best digital solution.
The aim was to create something which allowed users to find, explore, fall in love and book an authentic and unique holiday experience.

What did Kumbe produce?

Kumbe was selected as a digital agency to produce the entire digital identity for the project. From creating the brand to producing the web portal and digital communications.

The presentation of the brand, the information architecture, and the wireframe are crucial stages.

This is when the decisions are confirmed or reversed. These are great opportunities for conversations and being proactive, which is why at Kumbe we always prefer to organise these meetings in person, so that the discussions are more engaging.

A wireframe is stripped of all graphics, the design is crucial, you don’t want to distract attention from the structure of the site. Graphics, colours, etc. are elements which will be viewed at a later stage, once the overall functioning of the website has been properly considered

Brand Identity

For this project, Kumbe also created a brand new brand. This was not just creating a simple logo, it involved moulding a visual identity that could become the recognisable image of the project.

Why is it important to have a brand identity?  Elon Musk would say that:

The brand is the perception and that, over time, the perception becomes reality.

Here are at least five good reasons why it is crucial to have a representative brand:

  • identifying a brand helps the customer to be clear about its values and identity
  • the brand helps to be noticed, to stand out from the crowd
  • a strong brand identity creates greater credibility
  • if brands create identity, they increase customer loyalty, in this case visitors
  • the brand promotes the creation of partnerships and networks which add value to the project
